Charlotte County (Florida) contracted with Wharton-Smith, Inc. Construction Group to expand their existing brackish water reverse osmosis (BWRO) plant by replacing their existing skids with three (3) new 748,800 GPD reverse osmosis units for a total capacity of 2,246,400 GPD.
Based on the design of Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. of Tampa, Florida, Aerex’s® scope includes the installation of the membrane process trains, instrumentation panels, sample panels and all of the 316L stainless steel piping throughout the facility.
The structural components were manufactured from Extren fiberglass shapes and will support Bekaert Progressive Composites’ PRO-8-300-MSP-7 pressure vessels which are direct connected with 4†feed/concentrate ports. The skids are designed as a 14-6 array. All of the skid mounted piping is manufactured from 316L stainless steel except the permeate connections which utilize PVC J-tubes.
Engineering design, project management and field installation will be supplied from Aerex’s® headquarters in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Aerex® field service personnel will provide training to the Burnt Store Water Treatment Facility personnel on all aspects of the membrane system to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the system.
