Client: Collier County, Florida

As Collier County planned to expand their south membrane treatment plant, they decided to do pilot testing on site to determine the optimum design. Therefore, based on the concept of Hazen and Sawyer consulting engineers, Collier County contracted with Aerex® Industries, Inc. to design and build a three stage 25,000 GPD pilot plant.

This state of the art pilot system incorporates Dow BW30 brackish water membranes, Codeline 40A60 pressure vessels, GE Quick Panel operator interface, Allen Bradley programmable logic controller and Endress + Hauser instrumentation. The pilot unit frame was fabricated from powder coated aluminum with the third stage 2 ½” diameter pressure vessels made by Aerex® from 316 stainless steel.

Aerex’s® scope included design, fabrication, programming and installation. Collier County provided a special trailer to house the pilot unit to permit ease of entry and operation. Aerex® provided project design engineering, management and field service from our Fort Pierce, Fla., headquarters.
