Client: Commonwealth Brewery, Ltd. of Nassau, Bahamas

The Commonwealth Brewery, Ltd., producers of Heineken and Kalik beers for export to the U.S., contracted with Aerex® Industries to build and install a new two pass SWRO system to replace their failing 20 year old equipment. The new 600 M3/day (158,520 GPD) system produces high quality permeate required to meet Heineken’s stringent requirements for process and brewing waters.

To meet Commonwealth Brewery’s demands for expedited installation, Aerex® manufactured and shipped the equipment as major sub-assemblies. There was a skid containing the UV light unit, well booster pump and cartridge filter vessel. A second skid contained the process items including two 50 percent capacity two pass SWRO units with energy recovery turbines while the third skid housed the two diesel driven positive displacement high pressure pumps. The fourth skid was for the portable self contained CIP (clean in place) system including pump, filter, tanks and interconnecting piping.

Aerex® supplied the engineering design, project management, installation supervision and field service for start-up and operating training their Hobe Sound and Fort Pierce, Fla locations.
