Client: Hawaii Deep Marine

Hawaii Deep Marine Bottling Company contracted with RJ Mechanical Contractors to provide and install a new 55,000 GPD SWRO unit to produce potable water. The contractor selected Aerex® Industries, Inc. to design the unit to meet the customer’s specific requirements and manufacture the system to the highest standards.

Aerex® completed the design based on a structural frame of Extren extruded fiberglass with feed and concentrate piping fabricated of AL6XN corrosive resistant stainless steel. Aerex used Toray TM820-400 SWRO membrane elements housed in Protec PRO 8-1000-SP-7 pressure vessels to permit feed pressures up to 1000 psi. With the addition of an FEDC energy recovery turbine, the unit operates at the most energy efficient level possible. Signet provided the system instrumentation.

Aerex’s® scope of supply included engineering design, project management, complete unit fabrication, control programming and installation supervision. All support functions were centered at Aerex’s® headquarters in Fort Pierce, Fla.
